Enhances immune function and may reduce viral replication.
Selenium and vitamin E function as complementary antioxidants, protecting cells through different enzymatic pathways (glutathione peroxidase vs membrane protection).
Vitamin C enhances selenium retention and works synergistically in antioxidant defense systems.
